Pop- Up Tour at St. Mary's of the Immaculate Conception
Friday, April 26, 2019, 06:00pm - 09:00pm

Tonight, we will meet at Barker Mansion, 631 Washington St. and walk to St. Mary the Immaculate Conception as a group. Discover the intertwined history between this 151-year-old church and the Michigan City industrialist family. On the walk to St. Mary’s we will dive deeper into what the neighborhood and what the faith community surrounding around St. Mary’s looked like. While inside the church the group will hear more about St. Mary’s beginning in Michigan City. Guests will also be able to view the Alfonso Iannelli altar, the Stations of the Cross, and the beautiful F.X. Zettler stained glass windows from Germany.

Mansion Heritage Interpreters and St. Mary’s Historian Patricia Gruse Harris will lead the evening. The event costs $10 per adult and $5 per senior or youth. Proceeds will be split between the two organizations. Registration is required via Eventbrite.

The Barker Mansion is located at 631 Washington Street in Michigan City.
